“No.” Max said “I didn’t punch Billy Nelson.” Mary looked at him with those eyes she used to make him feel like he just disappointed the most pure angel that ever existed. “Max, we have it on video. Watch” said Principal Lopez as he pressed play on the remote the hologram on the desk began to play it showed Max and Susan sitting on the bench looking at Susan’s tablet, laughing. Billy walks up and starts mocking them making kissing faces and laughing with his bunch of friends. Then it showed Max stand up and punches Billy square on the bridge of his nose. Billy dropped straight to the ground and his friends quickly scattered. “Max, this is the third time this semester you’ve been brought to my office.” I’m afraid that I have no choice, I’m going to have to send you to the military program.” Mary chimed in “Sir is there any other way?” “No, I’m afraid that this is the way it has to be.”
Mary and Max got in the car and drove back to the orphanage. No one said a single word was exchanged between the two. Max sat in the car with his head dropped. Mary sat without a single semblance of acknowledge that he was even there. They just drove. It seemed like hours before they got to the orphanage. Max knew what was about to happen. When kids weren’t smart, or just couldn’t behave they got sent to the EFF. They were to be broken down and trained up to be the best military soldiers. However if you got sent there then you were stuck in there for 20 years minimum and if you didn’t want to serve the only way out was to get yourself discharged, usually by killing a teammate. Any other act usually just got you in trouble with the military but murder got you sent to jail for life with no parole. So most didn’t want to take that route. At 8:00 the next day there was a loud knock at the door and a man stepped through wearing his military civilian uniform. He demanded Max and walked him into his car and informed him that he was going to have to learn to respect authority, obey orders, and if he did, he would be successful in the Armor Response Team. A special group of soldiers that max was chosen for due to his scores on the S.T.A.R. test that all students take during their last year of lower education. They were able to build this taskforce with the ability to move in, strike hard, get out, and make no mistakes.
Max was trained for years and years. Until finally him and his teammates were ready for them to be assigned to their missions. The armor they were given could be customized for any event that they needed it for. Whether they needed to move in stealthily they could make it turn all black and dim the HUD. If they needed to hide in the jungle they could turn on active camouflage and blend in almost any situation. Special Uniform for Impressive Troops was the official designation it was given. The S.U.I.T, how original. It had a special HUD for the user that showed their vitals, team locations, objective locators, GPS, ammo trackers, and any other thing necessary for the mission at hand. They had built in plasma rifles that could be taken out of the arms if necessary but also could be used to fire out of the hands. It was also stored in a wrist strap on arms, belt, neck strap, and ankle straps, which when the user opens their palm in a certain way the suit triggers and envelops them in the armor.
Max served for several years on the A.R.T. before he was eventually promoted within the group to lieutenant Colonel. However on the first mission that he led the group on, a traitor within the E.F.F alerted the enemy to the team’s attack and they got the upper hand. Brooks was taken out when a hostile sprung from the ground and shot him in the back of the head. Clayton turned and fired on the hostile and hit him square in the chest. He fell but as soon as he dropped thirteen men armed with plasma rifles opened fire into the main server room from the outer door. Darwin initiated the download and began to fire. Max ducked behind a server and took aim at one of the assailants. He fired. Missed. He heard Darwin scream and kept firing. He dropped three. John fired and took down two of the men before he got hit by a laser. By the time all of the lasers had stopped firing and the smoke cleared Max looked around the room and saw that all of the men he had been put in charge of were dead around him. The server room was destroyed and the data was corrupted. He failed the mission and got all his men killed. Max still had 4 years left on his service but he was deemed unfit for battle due to the PTSD he was suffering from. He became a medic. Learned how to fix battle wounds on the field. Due to his years of excellent service he was given freedom to do as he pleased. He started to train some of the new recruits before he was allowed to leave and after he did he was approached by a company.
Timewatch. People who claimed that his skills and experience would be good for them and allow him to make a difference in the world. Keep order in a way that couldn’t be done in the military. People didn’t need to know about him. Max had no family, no friends, no one would notice if he had to disappear for awhile. He was a perfect candidate for their program. Max wasn’t sure what to do, they offered good pay, but after the years he served he came to realize that he wasn’t just some punk on the playground beating up Billy Nelson for making fun of him and Suzy. He realized that he needed to do the right thing. And that his drive in life was duty and not personal gain. He knew that this timewatch was a good place for him to start.
desuited he looks like Henry Cavill
